Backpacker Space Pen
The Backpacker Space Pen can hang upside down forever yet function immediately when needed. The pen is made by the same company and uses the same technology as the Astronaut Space Pen tested for two years by NASA and used by astronauts on the Apollo 7 space mission in 1969 (and used on all manned space flights since then).
Due to the patented sealed and pressurized ink cartridge, the pen writes in just about any condition and on almost any surface: underwater or over grease; in extreme temperatures (-30 to +250 F/-35 to +121 C); upside down or floating in a gravity-free zone. The ink cartridge lasts three times longer than the average pen.
The Backpacker version of the original Space Pen is a two-piece pen with a ring on the cap, which allows it to be attached to keys, backpack, belt loop, hiking gear, camping equipment, and more. It’s a dependable favorite of those who take field notes, jot down random thoughts, and make journal entries.
The pen includes a cartridge with black ink and a medium point. Finish: Blue or orange anodized aluminum. Made in the USA.
The pen is packaged in a sturdy black gift box with a removable sleeve commemorating the Apollo 7 mission.
