Bodleian Library Silk Chiffon Scarf

  • $98.00

Will be in stock after

This beautifully made silk chiffon scarf features an artful montage of Victorian and Edwardian girls’ books with enchanting period titles, collated by the Bodleian Library, Oxford. The spines, covers, and typefaces of these vintage books are delightful period pieces, as are the titles: The Girl Who Lost Things, Queen of the Dormitory, The Madcap of the School, The Worst Girl in the School, A Girl of Distinction, A Ripping Girl, A Girl of High Adventure, No Ordinary Girl, The Lady of the Hundred Dresses, and more.

The hems of the scarf are hand rolled and sewn, not machine stitched. The colors are bright and clear, but because the scarf is chiffon, have a certain transparency. It is easily tied in a variety of ways and is large enough to wear as a light shawl.

Dimensions: 71 x 22 inches

Please note: We have limited quantities of these scarves; if you are interested, please order sooner rather than later to avoid disappointment.
