Animals Spelling Puzzles

One of the milestones for beginning readers/spellers is to master basic words by sight. These three- and four-piece puzzles are a great supplement or alternative to flash cards. (Two first-graders we tried them out on found them a fun alternative to the flash cards they’ve been practicing with.) The best part is that they're self-correcting, so little ones will never be left with a misspelled word. Pre-readers as young as two can work the puzzles without knowing the alphabet or phonics, but can manipulate the pieces and find matching colors. This set includes 20 puzzles featuring familiar animals, three- and four-letter words, and easy to read, bold lowercase letters.
