Bodleian Library Notecards
Just what is needed, no more, no less: 10 notecards (2 each of 5 designs) featuring graphic vintage book covers from the collection of the Bodleian Library, Oxford. Before the advent of dust jackets, many books, especially those for children, were bound in brightly colored cloth with pictorial blocking in gold and colors. The 19th- and 20th-century bindings include such gems as Little Miss Sunshine, A Courageous Girl, A Very Naughty Girl, Three Hundred Things a Bright Boy Can Do, Things Worth Making, and dozens of other entertaining titles. The notecards, we must mention, are reasonably sized—providing just enough room, but not more, to write a thoughtful note or sentiment.
