The Addams Family Snowmen Holiday Cards
An image to add just the necessary dash of macabre to the holiday season. This is the illustration that Charles Addams drew for the book jacket of his 1976 book of cartoons, Favorite Haunts, published, of course, on October 31. Charles Addams (American, 1912–1988) created Morticia, Lurch, and The Thing for a 1938 cartoon published in the New Yorker. Other family characters were born and developed in the multitude of cartoons Addams produced over the next twenty-six years, before the ghoulishly cheerful clan debuted on television in 1964, on the big screen in 1991, and on Broadway in 2010. Inside message: Season’s Greetings.
One dozen 5 x 7 in. cards with envelopes, printed on recycled paper.
