Natural History Letter Writing Set

Each letter writing set comes in a carefully designed luxury box that hints of the delights within. Each box contains forty sheets (ten each of four different designs, printed on one side, blank on the other), forty matching envelopes (twenty each of two designs), and fifty assorted stickers and labels. The sheets, envelopes and stickers all work together visually for endlessly inventive combinations.

The box itself has a spring green interior, a pale green ribbon hinge, and an interior pocket. All the components in this sumptuous set may be used with each other or mixed with your own plain sheets and envelopes for even more artful combinations.

The images are taken from some of the most beautifully illustrated natural history books published in the 18th and 19th centuries. Such books were an indispensable source of knowledge, and the beautifully detailed illustrations were made by the most talented artists of the time. The coloring was done by hand, making each illustration virtually unique.

The four different designs, in delicate colors, are of birds’ eggs, a vine-covered tree, butterflies, and seashells.

The envelopes are of two different designs, butterflies on flowering plants and a forest scene.

The assorted labels and stickers each are printed with a unique illustration, from ferns and gingko leaves to butterflies and mushrooms.
