The Real Women of Greek Myths: 1,000-Piece Puzzle

  • $21.99

In this beautifully detailed jigsaw puzzle, rediscover the lives and stories of the women of Greek myths, from Medusa and Medea to Helen, Euridice, Aphrodite, Phaedra, Artemis, and others. These classic figures, mortals and goddesses alike, are portrayed with expanded facts and interpretations by author, broadcaster, and classicist Natalie Haynes. As you build the puzzle, look for Pandora and her jar, Medusa with snakes for hair, and other characters with their signifiers and relevant details. This is a fun way to teach mythology to young learners, refresh your own knowledge, and see things from a new perspective.

A large fold-out poster of the artwork, by Norwegian illustrator Natalie Foss, accompanies the jigsaw. It also includes original essays by the author on each character, expanding on the stories, relationships, and context surrounding them.

Natalie Haynes is a writer, broadcaster and classicist. She was once a stand-up comic, but retired when she realized she preferred tragedy to comedy. She has published three novels, The Amber Fury (The Furies in the US) in 2014, The Children of Jocasta (2017), and The New York Times bestseller A Thousand Ships (2019), which was shortlisted for the Women's Prize for Fiction 2020.  Natalie Haynes has also published two non-fiction books, The Ancient Guide to Modern Life (2010) and Pandora's Jar (2020).  She also has a radio series, Natalie Haynes Stands Up for the Classics, which is available on BBC Sounds and Audible.

The puzzle is packaged in a beautifully designed box perfect for gifting and sturdy enough for long term storage.
