Like the Colonial architecture of the houses in Nantucket, the Lightship Classic Basket is characterized by simplicity, beauty, and practicality. The basket is made from finely woven rattan cane, the outer skin of the natural rattan vine. The style replicates the design of the Nantucket Lightship baskets first produced on the island during the whaling era of the 1800s. It attaches to the handlebars with two leather straps.

Tuckernuck Classic Bicycle Basket
Named after a small island west of Nantucket and meaning “loaf of bread,” the Tuckernuck Classic is made from the highest quality natural rattan fibers. Woven from kubu rattan, the extra thick full-core weave of this basket makes it exceptionally durable. It attaches to the handlebars with two leather straps.
