It includes everything you need to assemble a beautiful hardcover journal using a simplified, beginner-friendly bookbinding method. The kit was developed by hand by a Brooklyn purveyor of fine bookbinding supplies, in collaboration with a fellow bookbinder and artist also based in New York City. 

Each kit contains all the materials needed to create a lined journal, including pre-cut components, book cloth, endpapers, boards, and detailed supplies carefully selected by the artisans.

A step-by-step instructional video showing exactly how to assemble the book from start to finish is available online. Follow along at your own pace and learn practical bookbinding techniques while creating a journal you’ll be proud to use. The finished book measures approximately 4.625" x 6.75" and includes 112 lined pages.

You’ll need a few simple supplies and tools: a straightedge, an Exacto knife, painter’s tape, glue (available here), and a bone folder (if you don’t own a bone folder, a plastic card, a butter knife, a guitar pick, or the spine of a comb will do).
