These heirloom quality bone china mugs are decorated with engaging illustrations depicting more than forty-six famous writers and their fictional creations. Each time you pick up one of these mugs, you’ll find more to look at in the wonderfully detailed illustrations, from each figure’s clothing to symbolic items they hold. Other pairings include Arthur Miller and John Proctor, Kurt Vonnegut and Billy Pilgrim, Joseph Heller and Yossarian, Washington Irving and The Headless Horseman, and Mark Twain and Tom Sawyer, among others.

The illustrations are charming, and the choices of the authors and their characters’ dress and “accessories” are smart and witty.

Made in Scotland, in a factory on Loch Lomond, by a family business run by a grandmother, her daughter, and granddaughter. The company tells us, “Each mug is printed and decorated in the UK by our cheery, hardworking, skilled, and experienced staff.”
